Molly S. Jorgensen (MFA, CLMA, SME), is a dance educator, choreographer, performer, and artist. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Modern Dance from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Arts in dance from Brigham Young University. As a dance educator, Molly has taught a variety of dance courses at Brigham Young University, The University of Utah, Salt Lake Community College and most recently Idaho State University.
As a performer, she has danced with the University of Utah’s Performing Dance Company. She toured the Midwestern United States with The BYU Dancer’s Company and internationally with the BYU-I Contemporary Dance Theatre. Her choreographic work 'Assuage (uh-sweyj)' was selected to perform at the ACDFA Northwest Region Gala concert in 2011. Molly received grant support from the Idaho Commission on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts to direct a site-specific dance event in Pocatello, ID as part of an international event known as Global Water Dances.
Molly is a certified Yoga instructor and Somatic Movement Educator (SME) and is currently teaching Yoga and Somatic classes in the Pocatello community. During her graduate studies, Molly spent her summers training intensely within the Integrated Movement Studies program and is a Certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst (CLMA).
