Molecular Research Core Facility

The MRCF acts as a center of intellectual exchange for ISU's researchers, and a variety of external scientists; we strive to promote collaboration and multi-disciplinary approaches to specific research initiatives. We provide services and shared instrumentation to assist in all areas of molecular based research. One of our priorities is helping scientists get the data they need to publish in high impact peer-reviewed journals. Another goal of the MRCF is to teach the next generation of scientists the proper laboratory skills they will need to become successful researchers by training graduate and undergraduate students on the instruments we maintain in our facility. We also hire Career Path Interns each semester; these students are part of an ISU program that gives undergraduates an opportunity to be involved in research.
