Check In/Check Out Policy

Reservations begin at 2:30 p.m. the day the yurt is reserved and extend to 2:30 p.m. the next day.

Yurt Capacity

The 16' yurts hold 5-6 people comfortably. The 20' Skyline yurt will hold 6-8 people comfortably.

Condition of Yurts

Because of the possibility of extreme weather, vandalism, and other problems, we can not guarantee the condition of the yurts and their contents. Unusually large snow falls can collase part or all of the yurt, and freezing and thawing creates havoc with the Coleman stoves. You may also need to collect and split additional wood. The yurts are now locked for secutiry reasons. You will need to get the combination to the lock the week before your trip.

Be Prepared.

Treat the Yurt Tours With Great Respect.
Besides the yurt itself, there are plenty of other problems that you and your party can encounter in the harsh and unforgiving winter environment. Before going on a yurt tour, read through the Yurt Manual and discuss potential problems with your party and make a careful choice whether you are willing to assume the risks. Yurt renters will need to read, sign, and mail in the Yurt Liability Form before your scheduled outing. Be well prepared.

Location of Yurts

Before using any of the yurts, you or members of your party should take at least one advance day trip to the yurt site. If you are uncertain of your route finding skills, go with an organized group. Visit the Yurt activity resource page for maps, GPS coordinates and route descriptions.

Winter travel and use of Yurts is dangerous. Yurt use is done at your own risk.
