(April 1, 2009 Elluminate archived session)
We’ve all heard the excuse before, “But I didn’t know that was plagiarism.” In this interactive session, we’ll introduce you to concepts behind what shapes academic dishonesty through the eyes of the student, how they perceive plagiarism and provide you with tools to help patch the potholes before students are academically derailed by them. This session will also have a unique focus on international students and how their needs differ from domestic students as well as how Web 2.0 tools factor into students’ plagiarism perceptions. So, grab your hard hats and the most important tool you already have – your questions – and join us as we navigate through the plagiarism potholes.
