ISU College of Business to offer in-person classes in Twin Falls fall 2016; informational events set April 25, May 4

April 15, 2016

TWIN FALLS – The Idaho State University College of Business will offer in-person courses on the College of Southern Idaho campus starting in the fall 2016 semester and will host informational sessions on April 25 and May 4 about these courses.

On Monday, April 25, the College of Business will host an informational lunch for CSI students in the Hepworth Building, Room 180 on the CSI campus. Students attending the event will have the opportunity to learn more about these new courses and the programs offered at the ISU College of Business. Students will also receive free lunch, a free T-shirt and can enter to win an iPad.

On Wednesday, May 4, the College of Business will hold an open house event for the Twin Falls and CSI communities. This family-friendly event will include free food for the first 100 people, live music, giveaway prizes including the iPad and a chance to meet the ISU mascot, Benny the Bengal. Guests are welcome to come learn more about College of Business programs and will even have the opportunity to apply to attend ISU as the $50 application fee will be waived for these two events.

These four courses will cover concepts in informatics, finance, management and accounting. Designed to accommodate non-traditional, working students, the courses will be offered in the evenings for those who are interested in staying in the Twin Falls area while still working and attending a four-year university.

CSI graduates with an Associate of Science degree in business can transfer their credits and begin courses at the ISU College of Business from Twin Falls as a junior-level student in the Bachelor of Business Administration program. In doing this, CSI students will have already completed ISU’s general education requirement credits as well as the College of Business lower division core requirements. The will only need to complete about four more semesters of credits to earn a BBA in one of the various online and distance learning majors available including general business.

While earning the BBA from Twin Falls, students will now have four courses available to take in-person while completing the rest of the courses with a combination of online and distance learning classes.

The College of Business is excited to join the Twin Falls community with growing opportunities on the CSI campus for students interested in pursuing a four-year business degree. To help ring in the new courses and opportunities, the College will host several events on the CSI campus.
