Job Description

This position promotes professional business skills development by providing access to the Admissions processes and information management. Additional information management support includes the processing of graduate applications, transcripts, test scores, and GPA calculations. By providing processing and information for submitted applications, the intern gains skills in customer service, problem solving, and business workflows. The intern makes decisions based on processed information, this position provides real-world application on how these decisions impact students’ futures. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

We are looking for students interested in Public Administration (MPA), Business – traditional emphasis (MBA), Educational Administration (M.Ed.), General Studies (B.A.), and Management business majors (B.B.A). The intern must have the following requirements:

  • Minimum GPA 2.75 undergraduate, 3.0 graduate
  • Basic Excel skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a busy environment
  • Complex (mathematics) computing and conversion skills
  • Critical thinking skills

Salary/Wage

$11.00 per hour – Master degree Student
$9.00 per hour – Undergraduate Student

Work Schedule

Summer: full-time, up to 40 hours per week.
Fall & Spring: part-time, up to 20 hours per week.

Job Description

This position promotes business operations skills development by providing support for the Graduate School’s core functions: recruitment, retention, graduation, admissions, and operations. Within recruitment and retention, the intern works in the support of the Graduate School’s internal efforts that bring in-state and out-of-state students into Idaho State University’s graduate programs. In graduation efforts, the intern helps in the role of supporting graduate students as they finish their academic careers, this may include an analysis of oral defenses. In operations, the intern experiences information management and navigation by utilizing the Idaho state financial system’s commodity and account codes while also conducting audits on local financial accounts. The intern helps with student funding programs. The intern also serves as a liaison to Bengal Solutions to conduct market research on newly proposed programs. Other duties as assigned.

$11.00 per hour – Graduate & Post Baccalaureate Student
$9.00 per hour – Undergraduate Student
