Higher Education Resource Hub The goal of this evolving website is to provide a comprehensive collection of information resources in the field of higher education throughout the world. This site include information on assessment, college syllabi, degree programs.
American Council on Education ACE, the major coordinating body for all the nation's higher education institutions, seeks to provide leadership and a unifying voice on key higher education issues and to influence public policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives. While ACE works with the entire institution, information pertinent to faculty development is available at this site. 
Internet Resources for Higher Education Outcomes Assessment  This site, from North Carolina State University, provides links to many sites at other universities and organizations, dealing with assessment in higher education.
American Association for Higher Education This site offers you connections to other people doing the scholarship of teaching and learning and to helpful resources for your own work. This site has sections that are for members only, but the public section has information also.
American Association for Higher Education - Teaching Initiatives The AAHE Teaching Initiatives seeks to help campuses improve teaching and learning by creating a culture in which teaching and learning are the subject of serious discussion, debate, and inquiry among faculty and others committed to educational improvement. This site contains articles on developing educational partnerships, using portfolios and other useful topics related to teaching and learning.
Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning: Program in Higher Education
 
The CASTL Higher Education Program is comprised of three components: the Carnegie Scholars program (outstanding scholars design and investigate issues in teaching and learning) the Campus program (campuses work together to cultivate the conditions needed to make a public commitment to foster and support the scholarship of teaching and learning.

American Association for Higher Education. Principles of Good Practice: Supporting Early-Career Faculty This is a short brochure offering advise to department chairs when working with new faculty. Included are ten principles of good practice; inventories to prompt department chairs, senior colleagues, and other academic leaders to examine their individual and institutional practices when dealing with new faculty; and examples of concrete and innovative approaches to good practice being tried out now in a variety of institutional settings. 
Faculty Development, University of Alabama This site offers many links to information on on-line pedagogy. Distance learning and web teaching are two of the issues covered on these sites.
Resources on Faculty Development: Classic and Current Texts. Center for Teaching Enhancement University of South Florida As the title of this web page indicates, it is a listing of resources on faculty development, both current and from the past 20 years. Several web sites are listed which provide additional information and more sites.
Deliberations on Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. London Guildhall University. Deliberations is an international website on issues of learning and teaching for the higher education community. It contains articles on teaching and learning and links to related sites and 

provides an interactive forum for faculty to discuss ideas and problems.

Center for Teaching and Learning. Western Michigan University This site provides material for faculty development, including material on student needs, instructional technology, and teaching enhancement.
Instructional Guide for University Faculty. Northern Illinois University While this guide has information specific to Northern Illinois University, it also contains much information that can be used by faculty anywhere. Chapters in the guide are entitled, Foundations of Effective Teaching, Learner-Centered Teaching, Preparing to Teach, Instructional Strategies, Evaluating Student Learning and Ethical Considerations.
National Teaching and Learning Forum The National Teaching & Learning Forum on-line edition-- just like the printed version--offers subscribers stimulating insight from colleagues eager to share new ways of helping students reach the highest levels of learning. Tomorrow's Professor An e-mail list which distributes biweekly e-mail messages with career tips and information on issues of interest in higher education. The moderator often provides excerpts from books on academic careers. A variety of topics are covered in the e-mail messages. For an article on the e-mail list see The Chronicle of Higher Education.
