Q) Who is invited to attend Experience ISU—Tech Day?
A) This personalized recruitment event is for high school seniors and their parents ONLY. Due to spacing limitations in our labs and programs, we will not allow other students (high school sophomores, juniors, etc.) to attend the event. We are more than happy to accommodate other students for an individual tour on a different day.
Q) Do I need to attend the entire event or can I leave early for another obligation?
A) Tech Day is specifically planned to last from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Participants need to attend all sessions to get the most out of the event. We promise that the event will contain valuable information that will ensure that you are successful in college. Also, participants will not receive their ISU application fee waiver ($50) until the conclusion of Experience ISU—Tech Day.
Q) How do I know that my registration has been successfully received?
A) After you submit your online registration form, you will automatically receive a confirmation e-mail to the address provided. Also, a confirmation letter will be sent to the mailing address provided. The confirmation letter will provide you with more information about the event and a signature release form. All participants need to sign the form and return it in the postage-paid envelope provided. If you have not received a letter in the mail within five business days, please call (208) 282-5216.
Q) How do I cancel my registration if I can no longer attend Experience ISU—Tech Day?
A) If you need to cancel your registration for any reason, please call (208) 282-5216. Due to space limitations, we want to make sure that everyone who signs up to attend the event is able to make it.
Q) Where should I park when I arrive at Idaho State University?
A) A parking map will be provided in the confirmation letter. Free parking for the event will be provided near the Holt Arena.
Q) Are my parents invited to attend Experience ISU—Tech Day?
A) Yes, your parents and/or guardians are encouraged to attend Experience ISU—Tech Day. Parents and/or guardians will be able to attend their own personalized sessions with valuable information about paying for college and job placement after graduation. Parents will also go on a program tour and participate in breakfast and lunch. If your parents are also planning to attend the event, please include them as “guests” on the registration form.
Q) What if I have dietary restrictions?
A) All dietary restrictions will be accommodated during the event.
Q) Should I still attend Experience ISU—Tech Day if I am undecided about attending ISU?
A) Yes, this event will answer all of your questions about Idaho State University. We understand that some students are still “undecided” about their future plans, and that’s okay! We want to showcase the educational opportunities available at the College of Technology and help make your decision easier.
Q) Is transportation provided to Idaho State University from my high school?
A) No, transportation is not provided to Idaho State University. Participants are responsible to arrange their own transportation to and from campus on Friday, October 30.

A) No. The entire experience event is free of charge. The College of Technology will provide each participant with breakfast, lunch, a t-shirt, and ISU application fee waiver. Participants will also receive valuable information about paying for school and admission into programs.
Q) Should I still attend Experience ISU—Tech Day if I am not going to go to college immediately following high school graduation?
A) Yes. We understand that some students will want to defer their enrollment for military or religious service. During the Experience ISU—Tech Day event, we will answer questions about deferment policies and putting your scholarships on hold.
