I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Idaho State University in 2002 and a Master of Science in Athletic Training from Weber State University in 2013. I am a Board Certified Athletic Trainer and an Idaho Licensed Athletic Trainer. I have been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2002. I have more than 10 years' experience in the field of Strength and Conditioning and specialize in performance enhancement for football and golf. Prior to ISU I was most recently employed as a Strength and Conditioning coach at Weber State University.

JoAnne's nursing career involves 28 years of professional nursing practice in a variety of clinical and geographical settings. She holds a BSN from Lubbock Christian University, an MS with a family nurse practitioner emphasis from the University of Northern Colorado and will have a post-master's certificate in Nursing Education conferred from Idaho State University in May, 2007. She is currently enrolled in the PhD in Nursing Education program at the University of Northern Colorado.
JoAnne's nursing experience includes over 15 years in perinatal services including high-risk Antepartum/Obstetrical care, regional transport and management/leadership. She has worked in medical/surgical nursing, perioperative services, family practice and emergent care (advanced practice), and nursing education both at the hospital and university levels. Her work experience geographically ranges from the midwest to the upper northwest United States including work in rural areas as an independent provider, clinical support/education and management in a large university institution.
