Idaho State University partnered with ISU Credit Union to offer the Bengal Card Plus, an ISU student ID combined with a MasterCard® debit card for convenience and flexibility.

Yes, your old Bengal Card will become invalid on December 16, 2011.
- At some point, does the old card become invalid and when is the new card effective?
Yes, your old Bengal Card will become invalid on December 16, 2011 and your new card will become effective when you receive it.
- Once I get the new card, can I discard the old Bengal Card?
Yes, we suggest that you destroy your old Bengal Card.
- If I have munch money on my current card, when will my balance be transferred to my new card?
The munch money balance remaining on your old Bengal Card will automatically be transferred to your new Bengal Card or Bengal Card Plus.
- What is the difference between the Bengal Card and the Bengal Card Plus?
The Bengal Card and the Bengal Card Plus are the official ID card for Idaho State University. Both grant access to buildings and work for housing, meal plans, munch money, theatre ISU admission, and free admission to athletic events, dances, student activities, Reed Gym, Student Health Center services, Dental Hygiene, and much more. The Bengal Card Plus is also a Mastercard® debit card with the ISU Credit Union. That means you can carry one card and have all the benefits of the Bengal Card and access to your money in the ISU Credit Union.
- Do I have to be a member of the ISU Credit Union to get a Bengal Card Plus?
Yes, you will need to open a checking account with ISU Credit Union to be eligible for the Bengal Card Plus.
- How do I become a member of the ISU Credit Union?
To become a member of the ISU Credit Union you just need to stop by an ISU Credit Union branch. The newest branch is conveniently located on the second floor of the Pond Student Union at the ISU Pocatello Campus. Or you can go to the Idaho State University Campus branch at 707 S.9th, the Alameda Branch at 202 W. Alameda in Pocatello, the Blackfoot Branch at 58 N. Broadway in Blackfoot, or the Idaho Falls Branch at 1385 Fremont in Idaho Falls. The BengalCard Plus can only be issued at the Pond Student Union branch.
- How long does it take to activate ?

Your Bengal Card will be activated at the beginning of each academic semester while you are an enrolled student or employed Faculty/Staff.

The Bengal Card Plus will be activated immediately at time of issuance.

- How does this partnership benefit ISU?
The Bengal Card Plus provides ongoing revenue to the University through its use. ISU Credit Union will share revenue generated from the use of the Bengal Card Plus for ongoing support of student services and scholarships.
- What do I do if my Bengal Card or Bengal Card Plus is lost/stolen?
- Bengal Card
As a safeguard, if your Bengal Card is lost or stolen, immediately notify Bengal Card Services at 282-3618 during regular office hours or Public Safety at 282-2515 after hours. A "Lost Card" hold will be put on your card so that no one will be able to use your card for housing, meal plans, munch money or access. If your card is turned into the Bengal Card office, we will notify you by email.

If your Bengal Card Plus is lost or stolen immediately contact ISU Credit Union customer service at (208) 235-7100. Also contact Bengal Card Services at 282-3618 or Public Safety at 282-2515 and notify them of the situation.
